Hi, I’m Tara!
I’ve been behind the camera since 2014, starting as a 15-year-old with my tiny Samsung Galaxy phone, wandering around and taking images of sunsets. The photo of the sunset below, is one of the first shots I was super proud of… though looking back now, I can’t help but cringe at it! (We all have to start somewhere!)
Since then, I’ve taken my passion further, studying photography at A Level, and then undertaking a Master’s degree, graduating in 2021. During my Master’s, I focused on the impact of COVID-19 and the various lockdowns, which really shaped my love for photographing people and documenting both the positives and at times, the negatives.
I shoot primarily with the small but mighty Fujifilm X-T30. Being lightweight and compact, it lets me move quickly and capture spontaneous moments without feeling weighed down. Despite its size, it produces the most vibrant, detailed images, with beautiful colours!
I shoot in the genres of portraiture and documentary photography, but within these genres, I also cover street, sports, and event photography. I love capturing the energy and atmosphere of a moment, whether it’s small and intimate, or loud and dynamic!
My approach is relaxed, making sure that everyone involved feels comfortable in front of the camera, and my specialism is candid photography, though I also absolutely love setting up a posed moment or two (or three, or four, or…!) as well!
I am based in Brighton, but can travel nationwide or abroad for shoots. I enjoy getting to know and working with people from all walks of life, who want photographs that feel natural and genuine. As well as my standard photoshoots, I am also always open for collaborations with other creatives and business owners.
When I’m not behind the camera, I work as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Tutor, a role I absolutely adore. This also means I am fully DBS registered and on the update service, so you can feel confident booking me to capture any special moments involving children!
I also absolutely love travelling. Whether it’s a budget hostel trip, an all-inclusive holiday, a snowy adventure, or hopping trains across Europe, I love experiencing new cultures and keeping track of the journeys I take through my lens!
If you have any questions, queries, or simply just want to say hi, feel free to contact me!

I really recommend Tara! She photographed my two boys (ages 3 and 4) in the forest, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. She was so patient with them, letting them run around and be their silly, playful selves, and somehow captured the sweetest moments in the middle of all that chaos. What I love most is that the pictures really show them as they are full of joy, energy, and personality and not just posed smiles. These photos are little treasures I’ll hold onto forever. If you’re looking for someone who makes the experience fun, relaxed, and genuine, Tara is amazing. Thank you so much for capturing my family in the best way possible ❤️

Tara attended one of my Friend Speeding Events to take some pictures. She took some great shots and gelled really well with my guests to the point of exchanging details to stay in contact. She was friendly, professional and kind.
